Erthbound’s management of the non-profit NAMBA Performing Art Space kicked off it’s “Music Speaks” Performance-Interview Series on Cinco de Mayo with a live show by “Conjunto Tenocelomeh”, a brilliant band rooted in the Son Jarocho Mexican Folk Music of Veracruz. The performers are talented musicians, educators, storytellers and instrument makers who present a fascinating history of their music that dates to the 1500’s.

The next “Music Speaks” show featured Percussionist Extraordinaire C.G. Ryche and his massive drum set to the Namba stage on May 25th for a performance we felt deep inside our bones! Interspersed performance and intimate conversation entertained a full house. Most important, C.G. shared his insight on the importance of Perseverance in this “Dare To Imagine” performance. This multimedia presentation was a candid conversation on how never giving up on your creative dreams is critical to long term success. When rejection over runs, when finances are bleak, when critical acclaim is harsh, when the odds are against… C.G. has been there and done that. He offered his view on how to dig deep within yourself to rise above adversity, follow your heart and trust your faith to overcome and succeed.
